One of Townsite’s core values is to kindle social, environmental and cultural change, and one of the ways we are doing this is by supporting non-profit organizations within our community through our Growler Program.

How Can My Non-Profit Apply?

Easy! To qualify, your organization must be a registered BC non-profit society and be local to the Sunshine Coast.

We are accepting applications for 2018 and the deadline for submission is December 1,2017.

In 2017 Townsite growler proceeds will go to support:

    January and February

  • Knuckleheads Winter Recreation Association
    Members volunteer hundreds of hours to maintain and manage 3 cabins and kilometers of trails for community use. Through activities and education opportunities we encourage more community members to enjoy our alpine backcountry areas.
  • March and April

  • Powell River Yacht Club
    Sponsorship from our growler proceeds will be used to sponsor youth to participate in the summer sailing program.
  • May and June

  • Powell River Friends of the Library
    Is a group of passionate volunteers who strive to ensure that our library remains a central and vital part of Powell River. For over 20 years they have been advocating and raising funds on behalf of the library, all the while promoting literacy, learning & public awareness.
  • July

  • PR Men’s Soccer League
    Local men’s soccer league – amazing group, prompting local sports, general health, athleticism and community involvement
  • August

  • Campaign for Real Ale
    Craft Beer Consumer advocacy society

    September and October

  • Powell River Fire Rescue and Movember
    They have been working for the past 7 years raising money for prostate awareness, mental health/suicide prevention and other mens health initiatives
  • November and December

  • Powell River Cycling Association
    Powell Rivers own mountain and road cycling advocacy and social organization
