People say: they always knew the day would come, but they weren’t prepared when it did.

Looking back there were signs of course. A snap shot of a growler on the ferry captioned “sneaking off the coast, hee hee“; appearances at tap takeovers in the city; that kind of thing.

Still though…we were not prepared when the day came.

It was our own Brandon who broke the news to us “Suncoast is leaving. It needs to spread its wings, the Circle Route is calling” and he was right, of course he was, but still we held on.

Truth be told, it didn’t take much to convince us of the importance. Destination BC  and the BC Craft Brewers Guild built the Coastal Circle Route as part of the BC Ale Trail, and we saw. We saw what Suncoast could do.

We knew that pints of our beloved pale ale, drank on either side of the Salish Sea would convince people to: keep moving, keep searching, keep adventuring.

Thus, in the summer of 2018 we watched as our fledgling left the nest and crossed the pond. We watched and we whispered….

Double rainbows don’t mean anything

Suncoast -the sequel: now available on the circle route from Nanaimo to Gibsons. Still draft only.

Have a great summer everyone!
