Here at Townsite we value: Inclusivity, Authenticity, Community, High Quality, Safety and Transparency. We live those values by: appreciating our differences and empowering each other to thrive; by encouraging each other to be comfortable being who we are through the celebration of life’s wins and challenges; by seeking local, community based ways to give back; by not compromising on either quality or integrity; and by fostering safe spaces for everyone to thrive and build meaningful relationships.
We drive trust, honesty and accountability through transparency. Anyone visiting our spaces, be they physical or virtual, can expect to see us living these values every day.
We are committed to the prevention of workplace violence and harassment by or against our employees, customers, contractors or other third parties. If you see something, say something. Anyone who is witness to, or the victim of, incidents of harassment are encouraged to email management at Chloe[at]townsitebrewing.com OR call and ask for Chloe (604) 483 2111.
We look forward to hosting you!
We are a destination brewery where families and communities can come together and share their authentically unique selves over the mutual passion of craft beer. Here are our six core values that we pour into everything we do.
Townsite Brewing was hatched in the winter of 2010 when Steve Brooks, Karen Skadsheim and Michelle Zutz began discussing putting a craft brewery in a building that Steve owns. They were looking for someone to partner with to head up the brewing and operations. At the same time Cedric Dauchot and Chloe Smith were in Saskatoon shopping around their business plan to open a brewpub without much luck. The two business plans were merged, a sixth partner- Ulrich Herl, was added and Townsite Brewing opened in spring 2012. In 2021 Townsite purchased Raincoast Kombucha. A local company started by Christina Maitland and Matt Klassen in 2013. It was a natural fit for Townsite, and we are proud to carry the legacy of these delicious brews forward.
Today, Townsite is team of people on a mission to authentically augment the quality of this incredible community on the shores of the Salish Sea on the territory of the Tla’amin people.
Townsite is also the only brewery in BC that is designated as an Economusée. This program aims to promote and conserve the heritage of traditional skills by showcasing artisans at work as they produce authentic, handcrafted products and contribute innovative ideas to their trade.
